UPDATE 10:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Gane opened as a slim -115 favorite on BetMGM Nevada’s UFC 270 odds board, and he’s now out to -150, with Ngannou a +125 underdog. However, the moneyline move isn’t reflective of where the action is for tonight’s main event.

“This one, the ticket count is very lopsided on the ‘dog, almost 4/1 tickets, and there are a lot of tickets on this fight,” BetMGM Nevada’s Scott Shelton said. “Money is 3/1 on the ‘dog.”

Ngannou’s money count was bolstered by a $50,000 bet at +125.

Previous Ngannou vs Gane Odds Updates

UPDATE 9:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Shortly before the five-bout main card begins, Gane is a -145 chalk to Ngannou’s +115 underdog price at PointsBet USA. As is the case at other books, Ngannou is seeing the bulk of tickets and money, at 65% and 63%, respectively.

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Gane is a -145 favorite and Ngannou a +125 underdog at DraftKings, a modest change from earlier today (-140/+120). Ngannou is drawing 58% of tickets and 69% of money.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Circa Sports pegged Gane a -120 chalk and Ngannou an even-money underdog when the property opened this bout for wagering Dec. 29.

“At that time, the market had Ngannou as a short favorite. We flipped it the other way,” Kalikas said, noting that move proved prescient. “There was sharp money on Gane right away, causing us to move to -135, and we got more sharp money at -135. We ended up going as high as -165. We finally saw some resistance, with sharp action coming back on the ‘dog at +145.”

Gane is now -155 on Circa Sports’ UFC 270 odds board, with Ngannou +135. Kalikas expects an entertaining and unpredictable heavyweight battle.

“Ngannou is the Mike Tyson of MMA. Anything can happen,” Kalikas said. “I think the public will continue to bet the underdog at that price. We’re hoping to need Gane, not for a crazy amount, but we want to be on the Gane side.”

Moreno Vs Figueiredo Betting Action

UPDATE 10:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: In the co-main, Brandon Moreno opened as a -165 chalk at BetMGM Nevada and steadily moved out to -195, making Deiveson Figueiredo a +160 pup.

“Tickets are super close, five more tickets on the ‘dog. But money is 5/1 on Moreno,” BetMGM Nevada’s Scott Shelton said.

Previous Moreno vs Figueiredo Odds Updates

UPDATE 9:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Reigning flyweight champion Brandon Moreno is a -190 favorite at PointsBet USA in tonight’s co-main event. Deiveson Figueiredo is a +150 pup for the third meeting between these two. Moreno is attracting 70% of bets and 78% of money, as bettors expect him to successfully defend his belt.

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: This line has been stable much of the day at DraftKings, where Brandon Moreno is a -180 favorite and Deiveson Figueiredo a +155 underdog. Moreno is nabbing 73% of tickets for this flyweight title bout, but that’s translating into just 53% of money, with plenty of activity on the underdog Figueiredo.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Saturday night’s co-main is also a title bout, with Brandon Moreno defending his flyweight crown against Deiveson Figueiredo, the third time these two have met. Moreno and Figueiredo fought to a draw in December 2020, and in the June 2021 rematch, Moreno earned the title on a third-round submission.

Circa also opened this fight Dec. 29, at Moreno -170/Figueiredo +150. It’s now at Moreno -180/Figueiredo +155.

“This is another spot where I opened a little higher than the market. Then we did get hit on the Moreno side with some sharp money,” Kalikas said. “I think the public side will be Figueiredo. For this weight class, Figueiredo is known for his heavy finishing ability. He’s a little similar to Ngannou, even though there’s a big discrepancy in weight classes.

“I expect this line to drop a little bit, [and] we’ll probably need Moreno when all is said and done.”

Stamann vs Nurmagomedov Betting Action

UPDATE 10:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: BetMGM Nevada opened Said Nurmagomedov at -200, with Cody Stamann +165 on the buyback. With the fight just minutes away, it’s now Nurmagomedov -180/Stamann +150.

“Tickets are dead even, literally four more tickets on the ‘dog. Money, though, is approximately 4/1 on the favorite,” BetMGM Nevada’s Scott Shelton said.

Previous Stamann vs Nurmagomedov Odds Updates

UPDATE 4:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Said Nurmagomedov has been a -195 chalk all day at DraftKings, with Cody Stamann a +165 underdog in this key bantamweight contest. Ticket count is almost 5/1 and money 3/1 on Nurmagomedov.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Said Nurmagomedov opened as a -195 favorite in this main-card bantamweight bout, with Cody Stamann a +170 underdog. The line has shortened slightly in Circa’s UFC 270 odds market to Nurmagomedov -185/Stamann +160.

“We’re kind of respecting the ‘dog a little bit. We did get some play on [Stamann],” Kalikas said. “This will be a popular fight on fight day. Both these guys are extremely talented, and this is an important matchup for the bantamweight division.

“We’ll likely need the underdog, which is a good spot to be in. Stamann could be a parlay buster. Nurmagomedov is gonna get a lot of parlay action and overall public action.”

Other UFC 270 Betting Action

UPDATE 10:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Michel Pereira opened as a -270 favorite at BetMGM Nevada and stretched to -300 against Andre Fialho. But Pereira is now back at -270, with Fialho with a +220 underdog.

“This one is also really close on tickets, five more tickets on the ‘dog,” BetMGM Nevada’s Scott Shelton said. “Money, however, is almost all on the ‘dog, almost 6/1 on Fialho.”

Previous UFC 270 Betting Action Updates

UPDATE 8 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Rodolfo Vieira-Wellington Turman bout (see below) was canceled due to undisclosed medical issues. That fight was supposed to lead off the five-bout main card.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Kalikas pointed to one more bout piquing his interest: Rodolfo Vieira vs. Wellington Turman, a middleweight contest that opens the five-bout main card. Circa opened this matchup at Vieira -250/Turman +215.

“We got some immediate sharp action on the underdog, causing the line to drop to [Vieira] -235 and then to -215, where it’s currently sitting,” Kalikas said, noting Turman is at +185. “Turman is tough enough. If he gets out of the first round and weathers that storm, he’s got a big advantage. Right now, we need Vieira, but when all is said and done, I think we will need the underdog.”
